South Fork Little Deer Creek and Ridge Trails – Loop – American Fork Canyon

Trail Details

The South Fork Little Deer Creek and Ridge Trail loop is quite the beautiful ride. This loop has a bit of everything, gradual clips, steep climbs (some hike-a-bike), flowy downhill and some rooty downhill.

Our recommendation is to drive up to the trailhead near the top of the Alpine Loop Rd in American Fork Canyon. Park at the trailhead (located on the Google map below). The trail starts right there. It’s a gradual climb for about 2 miles before you get some quick fun downhill turns. This loop is a fun combination of uphill and downhill throughout. You’ll climb then descend, then climb, then descend. You will bike on the South Fork Little Deer Creek trail for a while, then you will turn on the Ridge trail. After a while you will run into a four-way of trails and you will get back on the South Fork Little Deer Creek trail to return to the trailhead.

Don’t forget to stop and take some pictures of the backside of Mt. Timpanogos!
